Cisco Unified Communications Manager Self-Provisioning

The new self-provisioning feature, beginning in Cisco Unified Communications Manager 10.0, allows you to connect your phones and TelePresence devices to your Cisco dCloud router, and then provision them right from the device. The devices are registered automatically, given a temporary extension, and then all you need to do is update the device with the desired extension and it is fully provisioned for that user.

This new feature can be used with Cisco IP Phones and DX devices.
