You must have an active session and be connected to the Cisco dCloud UI through Cisco AnyConnect to perform this activity. See the Cisco AnyConnect help page for more information.
Exporting the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Certificate
The following certificates must be installed in order to use Esna iLink on the Google Chrome web browser on your local laptop.
- While connected to an active Cisco dCloud demonstration, use the Google Chrome web browser to navigate to https://CUCM1.dcloud.cisco.com.
- Click the Cisco Unified Communications Manager link.
- Click Proceed Anyway if an error message pops-up.
- Click the lock icon in the browser’s address bar and then click Certificate Information.
- Click the Details tab and then click Copy to File.
- Click Next.
- Browse to the location you would like to save the certificate, choose the DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER) file type option, click Next, and then name it CUCM1.crt. We recommend saving it to the desktop.
- Click Next and then Finish. Your certificate has been exported to the desktop.
- Click OK to close all windows.
Exporting the Cisco Unified Presence Certificate
- While connected to an active Cisco dCloud session use the Google Chrome web browser to navigate to http://CUP1.dcloud.cisco.com.
- Click the Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM and Presence link.
- In a new browser open https://cup1.dcloud.cisco.com:7335/httpbinding.
- Click Proceed Anyways on the following screen and then click the lock symbol.
- Click Certificate Information.
- Click the Details tab and then click Copy to File.
- Click Next.
- Browse to the location you would like to save the certificate, choose the DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER) file type option, click Next, and then name it CUP1.crt. We recommend saving it to the desktop.
- Click Next and then Finish. Your certificate has been exported to the desktop.
- Click OK to close all windows.
- Open Windows Explorer and then click Organize > Folder and search options.
- Click the View tab and uncheck the box next to Hide extensions for known file types.
- Go to the location you saved the two certificate files and change their extension from CUCM1.crt.cer and CUP1.cer to CUCM1.crt to CUP1.crt.
Installing the Certificates
- Double click on CUCM1.crt certificate and choose Install Certificate.
- The Certificate Import wizard opens up. Click Next.
- Under Certificate Store, choose Place all Certificates in the following store and browse to the location shown below, Trusted Root Certification Authorities, and click OK.
- Click Next and then Finish. Your certificate has been imported, click OK. Click Yes on the Security Warning window.
- Repeat Steps 1 – 4 with CUP1.crt.
- Using Google Chrome, browse to https://cup1.dcloud.cisco.com:7335/httpbinding and ensure there are no certificate errors as before.
- Using Google Chrome, browse to http://CUCM1.dcloud.cisco.com and ensure there are no certificate errors as before.
- If either of these sites has a red lock icon showing a certificate error, close your web browser and go through the Certificate Export and Installation steps again. This sometimes requires a second attempt to complete successfully.
Install and configure Esna iLink for Cisco on your local laptop using the Google Chrome browser
This setup process has already been completed for the demonstration workstations in the Cisco dCloud environment. The steps below are for installing and running Esna iLink from your own local laptop that is connected to the demonstration from behind a router or with Cisco AnyConnect.
- From your laptop, open the Google Chrome web browser, and go to the Chrome Web Store at https://chrome.google.com/webstore.
- In Search the store, type iLink for Cisco and hit Enter.
- Under the Extensions section, click the Add icon next to Esna iLink for Cisco to launch the installer. [

- Click Add to install the extension in the Google Chrome browser. If the extension does not start automatically, click the iLink icon. [

- At the login window, choose which set of credentials to login with from the drop-down list.
- For the Cisco dCloud demonstrations, use the Google credentials. Login: aperez@dclouddemo.com, password: C1sco12345. DO NOT use these credentials anywhere else outside of a running Cisco dCloud demo.
- When prompted, click Accept to give the extension the necessary authorizations.
- Enter the FQDN details of the servers to use for your presence data and voice server access:a. Server (Cisco Unified Presence): cup1.dcloud.cisco.comb. Media Server (Cisco Unified Communications Manager): cucm1.dcloud.cisco.com. User: Enter the username for the Cisco dCloud user, for example aperez@dcloud.cisco.com. Password: Enter the Cisco dCloud password, for example C1sco12345. Click Save to continue.
- Esna iLink requires the Cisco Web Communicator plugin to place calls. If prompted to install, accept the updates to continue.
- The extension has been installed. The icon will be gray when the program is not running, and it will be in color after logging in.
- Click the iLink for Cisco icon [
] to launch the program.
- Place a test call within the demonstration to ensure iLink is running properly.
