The steps below detail how to record a custom video greeting for a user in the Cisco Collaboration 10.5 v1 demonstration.
Configuring Unity Connection for Video Greeting Feature
Before you record a video greeting for a user, make sure that respective user is subscribed for video greetings on Unity Connection. Adam McKenzie, Anita Perez, Charles Holland, Jim Li, and Monica Cheng’s user accounts already have this service enabled, so if you are creating a video greeting for them you can skip to the next section.
- From Workstation 1, open Internet Explorer and from the dCloud homepage click Collaboration Admin Links > Cisco Unity Connection Manager.
- Login as administrator, password C1sco12345.
- Click Users and click the username of the account for which you would like to create the video greeting.
- Click the Edit drop down and choose Video Service Accounts.
- The mediasense video service should already be listed, if not add as described in next step.
- Click Add New and it will create a default video service. Ensure the service type is set to MediaSense and there is a check mark next to Map Video Service.
- Verify the video service is working by clicking Video > Video Service Account Status under Unity Connection on the left side of the home page.
- This lists all subscribed users in the system. Each user should show a green check mark for the status. If the status shows a yellow exclamation mark (!) that means the service is not working. Click on the yellow mark to activate.
- Enable video recording by clicking the Edit option under User and click Greetings.
- Choose Standard Greeting and place a check mark next to My Personal Greeting under the Callers see option.
- Ensure your voicemail PIN is 13572468 by clicking Edit, and then from the dropdown choose Change Password. Enter 13572468 as the PIN and confirm by entering it a second time. Click Save.
