The Data Center Practice is pleased to announce that Kubernetes Cluster (IKS) Deployment with Intersight Service for Terraform is available on dCloud to Cisco and Partner users in the US East dCloud location only.
This lab demonstrates how to use Cisco Intersight for Hashicorp Terraform (IST) to provision an Intersight Kubernetes Service (IKS) cluster on Cisco UCS hardware running VMware ESXi, integrate Intersight Workload Optimizer, and deploy a sample container application.
The Cisco Intersight Service for Hashicorp Terraform (referred to as Intersight Service for Terraform or Cisco IST or IST) allows you to track changes to environment infrastructure and repeat them the same way, each time, by anyone with the appropriate permissions, thus making these changes accessible. Consequently, this pattern makes the changes consistent and trackable and provides end-to-end accountability. Intersight supports Terraform Cloud as a SaaS product.
Cisco Intersight Kubernetes Service (IKS) is a fully curated, lightweight container management platform for delivering multi-cloud, production-grade, and upstream Kubernetes clusters.
Cisco Intersight Workload Optimizer continuously analyzes workload consumption, costs and compliance constraints and automatically allocates resources in real-time.
When you complete this Learning Lab, you will be able to:
Understand the interactivity of Terraform Cloud with Intersight, Intersight+Terraform Assist, and Intersight+Terraform Cloud Agent.
Access Terraform Cloud and observe Terraform workspaces.
Register Intersight targets for Terraform Cloud and Terraform Cloud Agents.
Create IKS policies that Kubernetes (K8s) clusters leverage, as a cloud administrator.
Create a K8s cluster leveraging IST and IKS, as DevOps personnel.
Deploy a sample app leveraging IST and Helm, as an application developer.
