Date
May 2020

The Data Center Practice is pleased to announce that Cisco MDS (Multilayer Director Switch) Lab v1 is available on dCloud to Customer, Partner and Cisco users in the US East dCloud location.

Cisco MDS 9000 multilayer SAN switches can help lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) of storage environments. They combine a robust, flexible hardware architecture with multiple layers of network and storage-management intelligence. With them, you can build highly available, scalable storage networks with advanced security and unified management.

Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) is a modern network management application that brings your MDS SAN fabric to life. DCNM provides capabilities from Day Zero to Day two operations – initial switch configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, comprehensive SAN Analytics visualization, and much more on a single dashboard.

This lab showcases Cisco’s Storage Networking technology, consisting of Cisco MDS 9000 series switches. The solution demonstrates ease of deployment, configuration and maintenance. This solution also covers SAN Analytics feature – how to enable and start the Analytics.

Scenarios

  • Scenario 1. Initial Configuration
  • Scenario 2. Port Channel
  • Scenario 3. Zoning
