Overview

Cisco HCS (Hosted Collaboration Solution) is a hosted private Unified Communications offering that incorporates Cisco’s comprehensive, industry-leading collaboration services for organizations as a cloud service, hosted and delivered by partners that are certified to offer Cisco Powered cloud services.  Cisco HCS allows Service Providers (SPs) to easily create new revenue opportunities by offering differentiated feature-rich UC and collaboration services to their customers.  Cisco HCS provides not only world class technologies but flexibilities for SPs to quickly monetize capital investments and streamline day to day operations.

This lab is to help you walk through all the steps to configure and verify the following features in Cisco HCS 12.5.

  • Simplified License Management
  • Upgrade Service
  • Activation Code Based Device Onboarding over MRA
  • Service Provider Toolkit

The basic components, their integration and deployment from the ground up including network setup and/or installation of the following components have been preconfigured with some base configurations for you:

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM and Presence Service
  • Cisco Unity Connection
  • Cisco Expressway-C and E
  • Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
  • Domain Name Service (DNS)
  • HCM-F
  • Cisco SSM On-Prem

What’s New

The following components have been upgraded to:

  • Unified CM, IM and Presence and Unity Connection to 11.5(1) SU8 (11.5 Cluster)
  • Unified CM, IM and Presence and Unity Connection to 12.5(1) SU3 (12.5 Cluster)
  • Expressway C and E to X12.6.1
  • HCM-F to 12.5(1) SU2
  • SSM On-Prem to v8

The tasks and UC components have been added to include the following new features:

  • Cisco Expressway Smart Licensing
  • Smart Licensing in Cisco HCS without HCM-F

Some minor updates and task flow changes have been incorporated.
